I love taking pictures. And I want to take better pictures. And they say practice is the best way to get better. And taking a picture a day for a year should constitute lots of practice.

I also hope to have fun taking pictures and through some of them to document what's going on in the world, or at least my part of it, during this year.

As part of this venture, I will use Lightroom for post-processing of some photos. I've heard it said many times that while Ansel Adams was a brilliant photographer, his real genius was in the darkroom. While I'm in no way comparing myself to him, Lightroom is the digital equivalent of a film darkroom and I hope to also improve my Lightroom skills.

I have a list of photo ideas and techniques to try, but I'd also love to hear any ideas you may have...
